Table Chart
1. What is a Table chart?
A table chart is used to arrange data in rows and columns. It is helpful and easy for comparison between multiple variables.
When to use a Table in visualization?
A table chart come to be handy when working with categorical variables to do a comparative analysis. Tables are also recommended for showing specific information that belongs to certain characteristics.
In other words, Table is great when:
There are multiple data streams (dimensions)
Comparing data in two directions
Precise numbers are essential
Ranking
2. How to build a Table chart with example
The table chart is a concise and structured way to present and compare the profit, cost, and revenue metrics across different countries, providing a comprehensive overview of the financial performance for each country, enabling businesses to analyze and compare the financial outcomes, identify profitable markets, assess cost efficiencies, and make data-driven decisions to optimize revenue generation and cost management strategies on a country-by-country basis.

In the menu, select Table to create a table chart
3. Table Chart Config
Select the database you use to create suggested in the list
Choose the table containing the data you use to create, then it will show you the list of fields included in the table
Drag/drop or select the Columns value, you may need to add multiple columns for comparison
Drag/drop or select the Sorting field to sort out the data in the chart (optional)
Drag/drop or select the Filters field to emphasize a specific data (optional)
You can see the visualization of your chart on the left side and select Settings to change the element’s settings
TITLE & SUBTITLE
You can change the title of the chart, choose the font, color and size of the name. You can also add the subtitle and change its format.
STYLE
You can choose to change your data style.
GRID
You can change the format of vertical grid and horizontal grid (color, size).
COLUMN HEADERS
You can change the format of column headers (font, color, size) and their background color.
Word wrap: To show all information in a cell, even if it overflows the cell boundary.
VALUE
You can change the font, color, and background of the value.
Word wrap: To show all information in a cell, even if it overflows the cell boundary.
FIELD FORMATTING
Settings for the specific fields will override the settings in the Values section. You can change the format of data fields (color, background color, alignment). Once you change the format, it can be applied to the header, values, or total.
CONDITIONAL FORMATTING
If you want to highlight specific values or make particular cells easy to identify, conditional formatting will change the appearance of a cell range based on a condition.
BACKGROUND
You can change the background color of the chart.
TOOLTIP
When you hover over a cell of the chart, a text box appears to display information about the data of that cell. You can change the text color, font, and background.
OTHER
Enable to apply dashboard filter, chart filter, or inner chart filter
7. After building the chart visualization, click Add to create your chart.
8. Your chart will show up along with actions like sharing, editing, etc.
